As stated in the By-laws, "The object of the Association is to promote the pleasure of golfing recreation among its members..."
The governing body consists of four officers, namely President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer and the chairpersons of the committees appointed by the President.
Membership is limited to property owners or renters who are not property owners, but are leasing in Hot Springs Village and have paid the transfer fee to the POA. A USGA maximum handicap index of 30.5 is required to join. GHIN handicap calculation fees are paid to the POA for ASGA.
Hello ladies and welcome to the WGA 18-Hole League. We will be celebrating our 48th year in HSV and would love to have you join us at any time during the year.
Our play days are on Thursdays with t-times starting as early as 0730. We play April through October and will have additional get together fun play days in February and March.
We have approximately 170 women in our league with handicaps ranging from 5 through 32. We play a variety of games-some with like handicaps and some with a mix of handicaps. Our two tournaments that seem to be most popular are the Invitational held in July and the Member/Member held in October. In addition, we have our coveted Club Championship for both Net and Gross held in October and lots of fun play days throughout the season.
Our league is committed to encouraging good sportsmanship, camaraderie, and lasting friendships while also supporting and enjoying the game of G0LF!
Come spend a day playing with the WGA--I know you will be back. Feel free to call or email me with any questions, suggestions, or concerns. We look forward to having all of you play with our WGA league and enjoying our beautiful HSV courses.
See you on the Course,

Organizations history -
Celebrating our 47 years, 1972 - 2019!
In 1972, a few women decided to form their own golf organization in the Village. Fifteen members attended the first meeting and because so few women played 18-holes, the first play day was only nine holes. As the membership grew play changed to 18-holes. A Rules Committee was formed and a decision was made to observe winter rules based on the conditions of the new course, DeSoto.
The season was established as being March through October and dues were only $10. Tee times were at seven-minute intervals and the motto was BE ON TIME!
A dinner dance for members of the Women and Men's Golf Associations took place in December 1973, and continued until the groups outgrew the facilities. It was replaced with a two-day couple's golf tournament.
In 1974, a Women's Tri-Club Golf Association was formed between Hot Springs Village, Hot Springs Country Club and Belvedere Golf Club. Teams from each organization competed for a trophy. In 1977, the organization was enlarged to include a team from Diamondhead and the name was changed to SPA. The trophy was dropped and teams vied for prizes instead.
As the Village grew so did the Golf Associations, including the formation of additional leagues. The WGA 18-Hole league has maintained a membership in the 200 plus range and takes pride in being a pioneer for women's golf in the Village.
We pledge to maintain the integrity and values of the original founders of the organization and to provide an atmosphere of fun golf for all members this year as we have done for the past 46 years!
